Audience Member Good Ealing Drama set in Romney Marsh as Joanna Godden, played by the wonderful Googie Withers. Joanna has 3 suitors for her hand in marriage after she comes in for a ton of cash. Funny that Rated 3 out of 5 stars 02/10/23 Full Review Audience Member Withers & McCallum were one of Australia's longest married acting couples & the frission in this movie is nicely achieved with Withers being the very model of independence & McCallum frustrated that she won't step into the role of "farmer's wife". Haven't read the book yet but intend to as Bates may have a different ending than the novel. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 01/26/23 Full Review Read all reviews
