Otis Ferguson The New Republic An inconsequential murder piece, but sustained in tone and cleverly put together. It is a little old now, but has the virtue of being neither tiresome nor irritating. Steve D The set up is too ridiculous to work. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 05/09/23 Full Review Audience Member This movie is a show piece for Edward G. Robinson and put his acting ability into a whole new light for me. His duel role surprised me as I had no idea he was so versatile . Interesting murder myster. Louis Calhern is interesting also as the villain but Mary Aster is sort of lost between the performaces of Robinson and Calhern. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 02/03/23 Full Review Audience Member one of robinson's better non-gangster parts Rated 3 out of 5 stars 01/21/23 Full Review Read all reviews
