An inconsequential murder piece, but sustained in tone and cleverly put together. It is a little old now, but has the virtue of being neither tiresome nor irritating. Go to Full Review

Steve D 05/09/2023 The set up is too ridiculous to work. See more 03/13/2014 This movie is a show piece for Edward G. Robinson and put his acting ability into a whole new light for me. His duel role surprised me as I had no idea he was so versatile . Interesting murder myster. Louis Calhern is interesting also as the villain but Mary Aster is sort of lost between the performaces of Robinson and Calhern.
