Steve D Poor man's the Letter with some good acting. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 01/20/24 Full Review deke p 1947 wife who 'made a mistake'. EVE ARDEN! + 3 Stars I've with familiar names that I've never really known by face: Ann Sheridan very gluckin & likable,+ Lew Ayres & Zachary Scott (who I've always confused name with the great Randolph Scott. I liked the movie. Never heard of before saw on THE MOVIE CHANNEL 3.4.2021. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 03/30/23 Full Review Audience Member Under appreciated film about infidelity and the importance of forgiveness. The storyline is wrapped around a murder investigation and, unfortunately, the police procedural scenes are bad. But, excellent performances by the leads and a storyline that constantly moves forward makes this worthwhile. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 02/13/23 Full Review Audience Member THE UNFAITHFUL is a very tepid remake or sort of spin on THE LETTER. But if you strip out Maughn's repressed sexuality what do you have? Not much. Though Eve Arden has one amazing moment that actually makes this film an interesting time machine. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 01/19/23 Full Review Audience Member A satisfactory glossy remake of Wyler's The Letter. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 01/21/23 Full Review Audience Member A reworking of The Letter whose main strong points are Ann Sheridan in the lead and most of all Eve Arden as her wisecracking friend. Not up to the original but on it's own an enjoyable film. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 02/27/23 Full Review Read all reviews Post a rating
