Audience Member debu movie, a touching down to earth story about country people living in poverty and drinking vodka and making jokes to lighten the spirits. One of the smaller characters is a Michael Jackson imitator, and is really hilarious. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 01/13/23 Full Review Audience Member A traditional Czech slice-of-life movie with a surprisingly deep social commentary in the background and some extraordinary characters. It is heart-warming and charmingly simple, despite sometimes reaching the borders of ostentation in trying to hammer into the viewers the notion that the inhabitants of the village the movie is set in are completely devoid of perspective. However, the great acting and delightfully subtle but meaningful ending make up for all the social pretentiousness and contributes another brick to the wonderful edifice that the Czech cinema has become in the last decades.
