John Doyle Globe and Mail The doc also manages to have, at times, an intensely gripping quality, as Holocaust survivors face Groning and their vivid accounts clash with the banalities of his work that the mild-mannered old man describes. Feb 1, 2019 Full Review Bruce DeMara Toronto Star The film tracks the evolution of international law over the decades, which eventually allowed authorities to make the case against people like Groening, hiding in plain sight for 70 years. Rated: 3.5/4 Jun 9, 2018 Full Review Barbara Shulgasser Common Sense Media Justice comes late to WWII Nazi at German trial; violence. Rated: 4/5 Jul 17, 2019 Full Review Rob Aldam Backseat Mafia Illustrates the importance of seeking justice. Apr 11, 2019 Full Review Ken Eisner Georgia Straight Packs a lot of history and unhappily relevant moral issues into its swift 75 minutes. Jul 19, 2018 Full Review Chris Knight National Post Despite the film's 78-minute duration, The Accountant of Auschwitz finds time to take some fascinating detours. Oaklee D A must see documentary. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 10/19/24 Full Review Audience Member Triste documentário, já sabia que passaria raiva, a impunidade demonstrada durante todo documentário é de enraivecer, e como bem foi relatado, cada pátria carrega sua própria carga de culpa por atrocidades do passado, o nosso, bem como dos EUA é a escravidão (complementando com a dizimação dos povos indígenas), a condenação, apesar de tardia, é representativa, dos 600k de soldados, apenas 124 foram presos e condenados, ínfimo, mas os tribunais incomodavam, uma vez que juízes também eram nazistas Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 02/12/23 Full Review william k Relatively short, but remarkable look at a more peripheral perpetrator of the Holocaust which also sheds light on aspects of individual and collective guilt and justice. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 03/31/23 Full Review greg r This is about as good a documentary as can be created. Incredible. Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 03/31/23 Full Review Audience Member É um bom documentário, porém fala algumas mentiras e enrola bastante tempo para somente no final contar o real objetivo do documentário. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 02/17/23 Full Review Audience Member This documentary does not fairly portray the events around the Groening trial. In particular they do not acknowledge that the reason he came to light and was eventually charged was because he spoke out against the Holocaust denial movement. They portray him as remorseless when in fact he showed great remorse. Propaganda should remain a tool of the Nazis, not a tool used by the side of righteousness.
