Roher’s motivation is intimately personal: The movie captures him on the verge of first-time fatherhood, and the rise of artificial intelligence has him questioning what kind of world his child will inherit, if any of us have a future at all. Go to Full Review

“The AI Doc” is a well-intentioned but aggravating soup of information and opinion that wants to move at the speed of machine thought. Go to Full Review

Several of the experts interviewed in Daniel Roher and Charlie Tyrell’s engaging, if alarming, documentary 'The AI Doc: Or How I Became an Apocaloptimist' articulate some degree of existential dread contemplating a future ruled by artificial intelligence. Go to Full Review

...“The AI Doc: Or How I Became an Apocaloptimist” is for everyone: a film that informs the uninformed, shakes the complacent, mollifies fears (slightly), while also likely exacerbating your worst terrors. Go to Full Review

This sprightly, rapid-cut, graphically engaging movie, co-directed by Charlie Tyrell, tries to find a tolerable way to navigate a middle course. The result is a shrug: it could go either way, or a thousand other ways we can't predict. Go to Full Review

Josh P 2h Amazing watch. A serious watch. See more Heath 9h AI Doc is a remarkable film that distills complex issues into a clear, emotionally engaging story. I was especially struck by how it humanizes the film producer and his family. It felt deeply personal and relatable. The storytelling is both thoughtful and visually compelling. This is the kind of film that not only reflects our moment but helps define it. Its one of the most important films of our generation. See more Eric R 21h I wasn't really sure what to expect when I went to see this film but I was pleasantly surprised. The subject matter was intriguing and the film successfully avoided boring me with too much jargon or insider talk. The interviewer was a regular person, thoughtful Comm passionate and honest in the way that he interacted with some of the biggest names and smartest people in AI. The responses of those AI profess was not just educational for me but actually enlightening. I got answers to questions I didn't even know I had. I would highly recommend this film overall, and especially to persons over 50 years old who may be unfamiliar with or leery of AI in general. I genuinely do believe this is a must see for everyone. See more John G 21h Thoughtfully presented many aspects of positives and negatives of AI. Many credible experts on the subject. And all presented in very entertaining way. See more Mr Hollywood 21h Was decent enough but it didn’t add much to the conversation. We know the risks. And the ending didn’t show any good results See more Tricia S 23h Great movie. Learned so much about AI. See more Read all reviews
