The plot is complicated, and not always easy to follow, but this is readily overlooked in the excitement of really well-staged football sequences, and the presence on the screen of a famous team and its Manager and Trainer.

The movie has more than a few good qualities, most notably the presence of Leslie Banks as the wonderfully droll police inspector. He pretty much makes the show.

A murder is committed at Highbury, part of an implausible story populated by implausible characters. The film was, however, completely charming and tremendously good fun. A little slice of pre-war Englishness.

This was a shocker for me. I thought it was gonna be really boring. Its actually one of the best films I have ever seen. a very well thought out mystery story with comedic elements and one or two references to the second world war.

wow umn just seen this movie 4 the 1st time n think that this is a good movie 2 watch........its got a good cast of actors/actressess throughout this movie.....i think that anthony bushell, greta gynt, ian mclean, leslie banks, liane linden play good roles/parts throughout this movie......i think that leslie banks is good as the scotland yard inspector.......i think that the director of this thriller/classics/who done it movie had done a good job of directing this movie because you never know what 2 expect throughout this movie......i think that this is a good who done it mystery/thriller movie....i think that this is an enjoyable movie 2 watch
