Noel Murray Los Angeles Times "The Assassin's Code" has an appealingly warm look, making good use of its Cleveland locations. But the pro forma story of powerful crooks and corrupt cops never generates any heat. Webb V What's not to like? Opens with classic film-noir jazz playing and from there it's a not so hard to follow plot of conneting the dots. The actors hit their marks and delivered their lines. No complaints there worth noting. Their talents were nicely muted in keeping with the genre. If looking for a hard soft centered hardcore cop drama to trade for 96 minutes, you could do a lot worse. Stormares scene in the concert hall was pure icing. a tad melodramic, but an easy trade for alternatives that could have been. The scenes in and around Cleveland are absolutely bueatiful. The city shined for the camera. Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 10/21/24 Full Review tom w I only submit a review of movies I watch all the way through and I only watch movies all the way through if I am enjoying them. I enjoyed this movie. I liked the character of Detective Connolly (Justin Chatwin) & his wife Jia. The interaction between Jia (Elizabeth Anweis & Schlychter, the assassin (Peter Stormare) on the stage was cool and set up the scene the between the assassin & her husband. His dog Klaus, the Doberman was beautiful. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 03/31/23 Full Review Audience Member At the end of the movie the date on the bronze plaque being put up below the detective's father's photo read 1946 - 1966 showing his dad's length of service was 20 years. The actor playing the part of the detective would have been a man in his 60s because on his 7th birthday he went with his dad to watch the Indians play at Municiple Stadium. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 02/26/23 Full Review Audience Member Not bad. Decent script with a good ending. Good cast too Rated 4 out of 5 stars 01/28/23 Full Review Audience Member I really enjoyed this police drama. It's obviously not a big budget production, but it covers all of the bases for a mildly interesting plot. The acting is solid, and Peter Stormare is fun to watch as usual. It was nice seeing Yancy Butler, formally of the TV series Witchblade, in a role again. I liked the pace of the movie, and there aren't a lot of unnecessary subplots. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 01/25/23 Full Review Audience Member garing plot'a, kaya kebanyakan pelem-pelem mister suspen detektif yang awalnya dibuat nebak-nebak , ujung-ujungnya penjahatnya orang dalem dan orang deket juga Rated 2 out of 5 stars 01/13/23 Full Review Read all reviews
