Cameron H The second holiday special featuring The Bad Guys, the story follows the gang breaking into a haunted mansion to steal a legendary treasure, but find themselves getting the fright of their lives I actually enjoyed this special a lot more than the Christmas one. It’s a great, quick Halloween treat for kids who don’t want to watch anything too scary. The atmosphere was fun and family-friendly, there’s a good dose of humor with very tame scares. Good Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 12/02/24 Full Review Mundo W Não é tão ruim... Mas é chato e sem qualidade Rated 3 out of 5 stars 11/27/24 Full Review Jacob B Just like the Christmas special that preceded it, The Bad Guys: Haunted Heist is just another half-hour special for a nonexistent TV show. However, I think this special is better than A Very Bad Christmas. Sure, it still has its flaws like some juvenile humour and dialogue but I do prefer this Netflix special over that one. The animation, while still clearly made on a lower budget than the movie, is more polished and expressive, I enjoy spending time with these characters, I felt that there was a good sense of atmosphere & isolation since the Bad Guys and the long-dead guy they're stealing from are the only characters to appear and I did get a few laughs out of this special. Overall, this wasn't a bad half-hour Halloween short at all, at least in my opinion. Though I will understand if some people don't like it because they would've preferred more emphasis on a haunted house heist and less emphasis on relatively harmless Halloween pranks. Nice bit of misdirection near the end, though. Scared Shrekless was still a better DreamWorks adventure revolving around spooky shenanigans, though.
