Kat Hughes THN The Barge People is a fun attempt to create a British Hills Have Eyes,or Texas Chainsaw Massacre. It doesn't fully pay off however, thanks to falling into the same pitfalls as the very films that it's trying to pay homage too. Rated: 3/5 Sep 3, 2019 Full Review Read all reviews

christopher c. m A group rents a barge for the weekend. But end up attacked by strange anthropomorphic fish creatures. That's basically what the IMBD calls them. First the charcters are completely unlikable. Annoying, selfish and are just massive assholes. Next so many questions. Why would mutant fish need weapons or clothes? Or talk even. They mention something about the algae in the area is contaminated from UV radiation from the dwindling ozone layer. Which is not connected to the movie or the creatures whatsoever, them mentioning was a waste of their time and screentime. To explain more I have to go into spoilers so here is you... SPOILER ALERT! IF YOU DON'T WANT TO KNOW THE ENDING THEN STOP READING: The last survivor escapes to the pub from the beginning of the movie and surprise! The Pub Marm is the creatures mother! And some old guy who had one scene was their father. But still never explained if the algae or was it trying to give this movie more green message? They drag the last survivor away to die. These kind of movies make no sense, if enough people are reported missing in a given area there would be search parties, investigations. There is no way they could get away with it forever. The movie is DUMB! Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 03/31/23 Full Review Read all reviews
