04/10/2013 Bloody & violent, this is a story of unbridled greed. Contains torture, rape, betrayals, thievery, and a generally evil dude. Early in his career, Katsu-san threw himself into portraying this highly unlikable blind-man by spending several weeks observing/mimicking actual blind people. This training served him well as he was later cast as the mythic anti-hero, Zatoichi. See more 08/26/2012 That is one diabolical blind man. See more 07/16/2011 Oh wow, this was great. Better than I expected. A blind masseur is a really bad man. Shintaro Katsu, is, of course the Zatoichi actor. Here he plays a mirror character. My only problem was that it wasn't long enough and the ending felt rushed. The film is beautiful and the writing is surprising and funny. See more Read all reviews
