timmy B @TimmyBlue 18h Great acting and stunt work. As well Directing, Set Design etc. Those little details make a big diference.
But it was a tired 2005 feminist trope. The story was disappointing & boring. We want better in 2026 from strong female characters then outdated ideas about pouty women overcoming their struggles. The main character was meant to be a badass but came across more like an unrepentant villain than a heroe. 
     We need honest humanity, including failures, weakness & change internally alongside inner strength & ingenuity … even in works of fiction. We don’t need cartoon characters, leave that to disney. 
     There still needs to be an element of humanity in all creative works I believe. It’s much more believable for a protagonist to have been a villain in the past trying to change & be better than a victim who’s not responsible for doing bad things & hurting people with no remorse. Such a tired trope. We want growth & humanity instead.

Typical streaming pickup by Prime touted as a new movie, so no talent required of the film makers. The only saving grace is the pretty face of the leading lady. A movie about survival with a strong woman as a leader former pirate and the master of deception with extremely high fighting skills. What Worked: Baldi’s camera creates an isolating Cayman Brac. Chopra carries the film with fierce energy. Through my Methodist faith lens, seeing a mother fight to shield her family from her dark past reinforced my beliefs about redemption and our call to sacrificial love. The Cuts: Early backstory meant the momentum stalled out; it was spinning its wheels with exposition. Urban is usually great, but his one-dimensional character robbed the stakes. Keeping it spoiler-free, the third act shifts from clever survival into a generic showdown that lacked fresh energy. Verdict: An uneven thriller anchored by Chopra. Fun for survival fans, skip if you want a complex adventure. It started out so well And instead, they made it into another stupid mary sue movie. I should have watched the trailer first, before I pressed play. I can't believe they fumbled this that bad lol.
