When Jules starts his shift on the escort phone, a telephone support line for women to get home safely, everything looks like a quiet Saturday evening. That is until he receives a call from a young mother named Klara, who claims that she will die that very night at the hands of a notorious female killer. He has given her an ultimatum: either she kills her husband or she will be murdered tonight. So begins Klara's desperate escape from the so-called Calendar Killer -- with Jules on the phone, who is her only hope of salvation.

Tighten up Sebastian Fitzek and Susanne Schneider’s screenplay and excise the peen-hammer-to-skull overexplanatory subplotty flashbacks, and the movie might be a tight, minimalist thriller that implies things instead of stating them outright.

I think this movie was good. I enjoyed the concept of knowing when you will die but having to choose someone else to have the debt. The concept that shows how much humanity is alive or dead. The movie was short ( considering the length of movies nowadays) but I enjoyed that it wasn’t long. I believe the story gets to the point which I like. The movie had a good plot twist as well , that I didn’t even expect ( I usually see the plot twist in movies). The movie touches on domestic violence and assault so if that’s triggering for you , I wouldn’t recommend this movie. I would recommend this movie to anyone who like suspense, dramas, thrillers than you will enjoy this movie.

"The Calendar Killer" was a letdown. From the start, the movie felt like it was rushing through its setup, skipping a proper first act and diving straight into a predictable storyline. There was no real depth to the plot, making it easy to see where things were heading without any surprises. The third act lacked any real impact, leaving the film feeling incomplete. While there were some decent cinematography moments, they weren't enough to save the experience. The acting felt forced and unconvincing, making it hard to connect with any of the characters. Overall, it's a forgettable thriller that doesn't do much to stand out. It had potential but missed the mark by relying on a generic structure and failing to build tension. If it had taken more time to develop its characters and create a proper buildup, it might have been more engaging. Instead, it feels like a rushed project with decent visuals but nothing memorable beyond that.
