steve d Hewitt is great as she normally is but I just couldn't find a reason the care about her character or anyone else in this film. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 03/30/23 Full Review Audience Member I really enjoyed this movie. Listen, a lot of us girls were raised by well-meaning (however misguided) mothers, who thought they were giving it to a straight when they told us that life is easier when you're pretty and that's what you need to focus on. I really enjoyed the fact that this movie explored what happens, or what can happen, when you are beautiful and you are raised to think that it's one of the most important things you have to offer, and to rely on. This movie also explores the fact that just because you are beautiful it does not automatically make your life easy. I think that there are people who definitely feel like beautiful people don't ever have hardships, or problems, and this movie does a really good job of correcting that misconception. It also shows how far that someone will go for their family, for their husband and their kids. It does a great job of showing that even after terrible decisions are made, that you can come back from that and eventually be okay again. Jennifer Love Hewitt has always been one of my favorite actresses and she does a great job in this film, so does Cybill Shepherd who plays her mother. It's definitely worth the watch! Rated 4 out of 5 stars 02/20/23 Full Review Audience Member Main character too annoying Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 01/12/23 Full Review tasos l Hewitt's got it in movies like this... Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 03/31/23 Full Review Audience Member I love this show!! I hope it comes back on! Jennifer Love Hewitt is a great actor Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 02/12/23 Full Review Audience Member Clearly a made for TV movie and slightly hammy, but fine to watch on Netflix. Can't imagine how they dragged a tv show out of it, but I'm interested enough to check the series out too. Even if JLH isn't the most fantastic actress. Matthew Gilbert Boston Globe In a tonal twist that's mildly humorous, just as it can be in HBO's similarly themed "Hung,'' "The Client List'' celebrates Samantha's pluck for agreeing to have sex for money. Jan 24, 2019 Full Review Brian Lowry Variety Frankly, a movie pitched as "Jennifer Love Hewitt plays a mom turned hooker" pretty much sells itself, which is why "The Client List" is such a pleasant surprise. Jan 24, 2019 Full Review Ken Tucker Entertainment Weekly In the manner of all such Lifetime productions, The Client List managed to offer cheap thrills...while offering moral uplift. Jan 24, 2019 Full Review David Nusair Reel Film Reviews ...a predictable and almost distractingly one-note Lifetime drama that seems to have been geared exclusively towards the lowest common denominator... Rated: 2/4 Feb 4, 2011 Full Review Brian Orndorf BrianOrndorf.com Elects a soft route of melodrama, using pleasant actors to communicate desperation, refusing salacious details to play right to the target demographic of sympathetic mothers and wives. Rated: B- Jan 25, 2011 Full Review Prairie Miller NewsBlaze Home foreclosure meets hooker hell in The Client List, yet another entry into that ever expanding genre of recession blues cinema. While Cybill Shepherd doing Mae West with a string of raunchy one-liners, just about steals the show from Hewitt. Jan 21, 2011 Full Review Read all reviews
