Joe Williams St. Louis Post-Dispatch "The Concert" builds beautifully from a farcical premise that requires a suspension of disbelief to a musical climax that washes away our cynicism in a wave of honest tears. Rated: 3.5/4 Apr 22, 2011 Full Review Bill Goodykoontz Arizona Republic "The Concert" is manipulative, overly sentimental, sometimes ludicrous and almost completely irresistible. Rated: 4/5 Mar 24, 2011 Full Review Greg Quill Toronto Star Benefits from clever editing and a credible cinematic representation of the ineffable power of music to ignite the human spirit. Sadly, the magic is way too long in the making. Rated: 2/4 Oct 8, 2010 Full Review Kaleem Aftab The List The action is hindered by clunky expositional dialogue that borders on the slapstick. Rated: 2/5 Nov 5, 2018 Full Review Jamie Neish HeyUGuys A shallow, formulaic and bland piece of cinema, with a wasted performance from Laurent and beautiful music that feels oddly out of place. Aug 13, 2018 Full Review Nora Lee Mandel Maven's Nest Delightful, heartwarming . . .blends serious topic with magic realism. . .All are wonderful to watch, even in surmounting some good-natured stereotypes. Rated: 8/10 Jan 1, 2016 Full Review Read all reviews

Thomas S Though certain parts are clumsy, I shed all the teard of my body during the musical climax. I saw that movie for the first time right after I started Russian at university, and all memories bubbled up to the surface. Rarely have I had such a personal connection with a movie. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 11/26/24 Full Review Liam D Combining an farce, romantic drama and music into an over long but enjoyable period piece Rated 4 out of 5 stars 07/16/24 Full Review Aender S Another masterpiece by Mihaileanu. "Le concert" starts as a comedy but later it progressively changes the tone to become a dramatic film, sad and heart-warming. All served with great acting and excellent music. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 05/17/24 Full Review luna s One of the better movies in the modern era. SO RUSSIAN! But a beautiful commentary music, history, etc Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 03/31/23 Full Review Audience Member On e of my favorite films about the music world in Europe. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/14/23 Full Review Audience Member Abusa das coincidências e, por vezes, até de estereótipos, mas demonstra um belo coração, entregando um bom filme.
