The Drama is not a tidy film from any angle. Its themes are extreme and uncomfortable. Its director’s past actions are more than questionable. But if audiences are willing to keep an open mind and engage with it, it will reward on a massive scale.

It's not as strange or absurd as it could’ve been, and lands somewhere in the middle, not enough one thing or the other. Mid is an apt description for The Drama, which is neither offensive nor tremendous.

I can’t say enough about this film. Wonderful cast, great writing, keeps you enthralled in the story the entire time. Clever and heartfelt ending. I don’t understand why the ratings are so low. I would at least give this an 88%.

This is a subversive and interestingly dark comedy that won’t be for everyone considering its ambition in creating something new and different. Outstanding performances from the actors is a very strong point here along with very well written dialogue that engages you. Going in spoiler free is a must to ensure it’s impact.
