Raining A @RainingAgain 22h Great performances, fascinating time period and beautiful cinematography. The plot struggles in the end to feel like a justified ending from the set up of the character arc of Turner’s Anne in the first two acts but the performances between Turner and Harden are still fantastic. Harrington’s Jago is left a little unexplored and underutilized but the chemistry between Harrington and Turner is authentic and helps with the lack of setup. If they’d leant into the fantasy element, it would have been half watchable. As it was, they spent 70% of the film on sweeping shots of empty woodland. Visually a beautiful film, also great costumes and sets, good cinematography. Marcia Gay Harden, Sophie Turner and Kit Harington are so wonderful. There is so much chemistry between Sophie and Kit, their characters are so cute, so romantic, so hot. I liked the plot, there were nuances, but it didn't spoil the overall impression. Anyway, performances were good and raw (albeit rather "stagy" more like a dramatic play), but it was boring. That said, I can appreciate the attention to detail and the great performances.
