Frances H Although the movie is interesting when the scenes of the murderer-robbers, well acted by Michael Gross and David Soul, are on the screen, the dialogue and scenes of the FBI are boring and cliche-ridden, as well as amateurishly acted. The average episode of Law and Order is far superior. Found the movie and re-watched, probably the first time since I originally saw it on Tv. I remember how evil and scary these two villains seemed when I first saw this film. They were bad news but ultimately lost their battle with the FBI. Sadly, two LEOs had to pay the ultimate sacrifice to put these cowards down. A decent movie and a reminder to appreciate the centurions. Rest in peace and thank you. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 01/31/23 Full Review Audience Member There were several series of made for tv movies called In The Line Of Fire..this is one of the best. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 01/27/23 Full Review Audience Member A pair of bank robbers go on a spree in Florida robbing and killing and turning the town into a site of terror. Ends up in being the biggest shootout in FBI history, all based on a true story. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 02/10/23 Full Review Audience Member I originally saw this in the 80's and I have to say was the best damn made for tv movie i have ever seen. Definatly made me research the actual crime spree and shootout that Matix and Platt did during this period. Fbi still consider the shootout with these two one of the worst in us history. David Soul and Michael Gross do a impressive job as the cold blooded killers expecially Michael Gross, for those of you who dont know who he is, he was Steven Keaton in Family Ties. I remember being a fan of Family Ties when it was airing weekly back in the 80's and seeing this movie I had trouble looking at Michael Gross the same way lol! Another actor in my mind was under rated. This is the second made for tv movie that I have seen David Soul in (Hutch in Starsky and Hutch) The first being Salem's Lot another film he was superb in. Dick Lowry gives us and pretty accurate account of the shootout and these 30 smoething ex marines who were not going to be taken alive! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/13/23 Full Review Audience Member This has the Dad from Family Ties [Michael Gross] is one of his best rolls playing William "Bill" Russell Matix who along with Michael "Mike" Lee Platt[David Soul] two vicious, homicidal Miami-based bank robbers committed several robberies in 1985..
