Twenty years later, on the eve of the play's revival, students Reese (Reese Mishler), Pfeifer (Pfeifer Brown), Ryan (Ryan Shoos) and Cassidy become trapped in the auditorium, with no way of calling for help. Even with it only being 80 minutes -- the constant screaming and crying along with the shaky cam can be kind of overkill. But The Gallows isn't the dumbest or least effective Blumhouse film… It just isn't a standout, either.

Recurriendo de nuevo al subgénero de metraje encontrado, The Gallows no es diferente de otras películas simples de este tipo. Su punto a favor es que, al igual que muchas de las películas de este tipo, tiene un ambiente de tensión bastante favorable. Al principio los sustos que presenta son por cosas simples, pero después todo se intensifica ofreciendo unos sustos prometedores. Su concepto basado en un teatro maldito no es algo que se haya visto antes, pero tampoco algo muy innovador. La tensión, el suspenso, la sensación de incomodidad y la intriga son lo que favorecen esta película, haciéndola una intensa experiencia que se puede experimentar solo con las luces apagadas. The Gallows es otra película más de terror psicológico sobrenatural de esas que se pusieron muy de moda en los 2010, pero es cumplidora para pasar una noche de tensión. Mi calificación final para esta película es un 8/10.

The only the thing scary about this movie is how terribly put together the entire film was. I have never regretted watching any movie more than I regret purchasing this dvd to watch this horrible movie. Blum house do better.

Really enjoyed this movie! The suspense was crazy good and the plot was very intense. It puts you in the mind of The Blair Witch Project, how the filming was being filmed. I was glued to the TV and jumping in my seat.
