John Hartl Seattle Times The staging of a few scenes suggests home-movie limitations. But enthusiasm counts for a great deal in a project as ambitious and strange as "Second Nature." Rated: 2.5/4 Sep 7, 2017 Full Review Alan Ng Film Threat Second Nature makes some interesting comedic points, but the story is weak on substance and weak on message. Rated: 2.5/5 Jan 3, 2018 Full Review Jacqui Blue Film Inquiry Second Nature is a feel good goofy comedy that takes a poke at gender roles and has a fun cast of characters running the show. Oct 4, 2017 Full Review Brian Orndorf Blu-ray.com Doesn't stimulate enough smiles, but benefits from two engaged performances from leads Wolfe and Huntington, who often save the picture with their spirited work. Audience Member Decent watch, could watch again, but can't say I'd recommend. Collette Wolfe and Sam Huntington are a delight and funny pair for this story, but the movie is set in a mayoral race with a Freaky Friday premise on the world's genders. The problem with that is it's a lot of message: everything in the movie ends up being a commentary on society. Some of it is amusing as hell, but it ranges from wildly unfounded to obvious to "why the hell is this what you're focusing on". It's not a bad movie, just know what you're going to watch here. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 02/18/23 Full Review Audience Member This is one of the most sexist movies I have ever seen. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 01/21/23 Full Review Audience Member Wonderful and funny! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/14/23 Full Review Audience Member Not bad. Pretty entertaining with some clever gags. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 02/07/23 Full Review Audience Member Loved it! A clever, fun, feel-good comedy with heart. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/17/23 Full Review Audience Member A lovely film. Funny, very topical, well acted and well written. The sound mic was nuanced yet distinct. Cinematography, lighting, and locations all top notch! If Hillary was young and funny and DT was young, funny, handsome and capable of personal growth this would be their movie! Now watch it already!
