Derek A Terrible, no where near Wes Craven level. Lots of good gore and slasher shots, but the ride isn't a psycho thriller and over all really boring. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 08/06/23 Full Review Katie T I have never felt more connected to a horror character in my life than I do with photographer Peter Hemmings. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 04/22/23 Full Review Audience Member It's pretty lame. Lots of buildup with very little payoff. Deeply unsatisfying as entertainment or art or commentary. It's not especially shocking or uplifting or subversive or fascinating or... anything to stand out. Nor does it feel like just a derivative rehash that stands on the shoulders of giants to make something great. It's not great. It's not even good. It's just bland and mediocre but not bad enough to be "so bad it's good". It's just deeply mediocre and disappointing. Talented people seem to be involved. I hope they keep making other things and learn from the errors of this script, the largest one being that the script has no idea what it wants to achieve it seems to be fine achieving nothing except promising the audience, falsely, that if it hangs on, it will get something. The final nail in the coffin is for how smarmy and smug the script seems to be in vibe and energy, it has almost nothing to say or insights to offer. It's just smug because who cares. Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 02/18/23 Full Review Audience Member Good and enjoyable slasher movie. Not as good as Scream of Halloween, but there's that "original slasher movie" vibe. However, the killers are kind of lame and they don't really have any motives for their killing spree. Even if the ending is disappointing, it's still an enjoyable movie. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 02/04/23 Full Review Audience Member it's a pretty decent horror film and would recommend it Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 01/27/23 Full Review steve d Little story and certainly nothing interesting.
