Audience Member The sight gags are the thing in this rather restrained Brown vehicle. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 02/27/23 Full Review Audience Member Somewhat funny and cute in the beginning, but it doesn't keep throughout. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 01/22/23 Full Review Audience Member The description on flixster isn't exactly right, so I'll tell you the real plot. Joe E. Brown plays Kipp. Kipp works with kids in the hospital, telling them bedtime stories, but the hospital is cutting back, so he's laid off. He accidentally wins money in a competition he didn't realize he entered, and decides to use it to go back to school. Of course he meets a girl along the way, and she wants him to be on the football team. His father was on the team when he was in school, but Kipp isn't an athlete. A scientist, whom Kipp is boarding with, is working on a formula to create superhuman strength. He gives Kipp the formula so he can be strong, and he plays football. I wont tell you the end. As you can tell, It starts out pretty funny, and then travels down familiar story lines. But if you're a fan of Brown, you'll enjoy this movie anyway.
