Brad Wheeler Globe and Mail Abrams and Piri have scant on-screen charisma. And, even if they did, their dialogue together is nothing more than foul-mouthed insults - unimaginative ones at that. Rated: 2/4 Dec 7, 2018 Full Review Pat Mullen Cinemablographer [T]urns milquetoast Canada on its head and finds the humour in the black-hearted reality of our self-centred buck-a-beer culture. Jun 28, 2019 Full Review Chris Knight National Post Director Jeremy LaLonde seems almost to have given himself a challenge - make a comedy in which the two protagonists are not only completely unlovable; they're actually kind of hateable. Rated: 2/5 Dec 8, 2018 Full Review Andrew Parker The Gate Deliberately grotesque, unapologetically foul-mouthed, and frequently hilarious Canadian comedy The Go-Getters revels in bad taste and worse behavior. Rated: 8/10 Dec 7, 2018 Full Review Courtney Small In The Seats A hilarious dark comedy full of energy and crude humor, The Go-Getters is a delight from beginning to end. Rated: 4.5/5 Dec 7, 2018 Full Review Norman Wilner NOW Toronto I can honestly say Pirie's pint-sized Wolverine act - and Abrams's willingness to be beaten to a pulp in the service of a laugh - are oddly complementary, and shouldn't be missed. Audience Member Raunchy . That’s the best word to describe this film . Basically two homeless scummy people trying to connive and scam their way into getting enough money for a bus ticket out of town . Considering their backgrounds the plans the come up with are as grimy as they come and I loved each and every pathetic one . Not per say a laugh out loud comedy but definitely a solid one. 3.8 Rated 4 out of 5 stars 05/06/20 Full Review Audience Member Funny film & likable characters Rated 4 out of 5 stars 01/13/23 Full Review Audience Member As a dark comedy it tries really hard to be funny, but the writing and delivery just isn't there. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 02/21/23 Full Review Audience Member It is really really raw. I don’t know how it got a 100% review. Save your money Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 12/30/18 Full Review Audience Member Saw it at Cinequest. Easily the best, funniest movie at the festival! Check it out if you like films like Bad Santa.
