Robert H Pay no attention to the snowflake reviews this film is very good for a small independent the bathroom scene is a Gore classic plenty of dark humor and sensuality stay with the film The last 30 minutes or so pays big dividends and it's free to watch on Tubi Rated 3.5/5 Stars •  Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 09/12/24 Full Review Audience Member Director Jimmyo Burril makes a remarkable leap from his no-budget, slaptick-horror independent film Chainsaw Sally to a very grown up 70's throwback called The Good Sisters. Starring Jimmyo's busty wife April Monique Burril and scream queen legend Debbie Rochon, the Good Sisters live a content, semi-reclusive life in their small apartment complex. When they are not dressed up in their overly hippy outfits and working at a local floral shop, the two sisters spend countless hours practicing their witchcraft in their room amidst a slew of neighbors who can hear their activities through paper-thin walls. What follows next is a sea of paranoia as the Good Sisters begin to suspect everyone around them is watching them and plotting their demise. What at first comes off as meaningless and comical, grows bigger and bigger until bursting out of control as the sisters resort to violence against the neighbors who may (or may not be) coming after them. Like I mentioned before, the aura of this film has a great old school throwback to occult films of the 70's. While the Burrils' previous film, Chainsaw Sally, was almost hard to watch at times (because of the sheer low quality), I found myself not being able to take my eyes off The Good Sisters as the constant building of tension and dread was enough to keep my eyes glued to the screen. April Monique showed a great deal of improvement in her acting, while Rochon is ALWAYS a delight to watch. Overall, this was a very decent and fun watch, and that's even without the inclusion of one particular witch ritual that involves the two gorgeous women getting naked and fingering one another. Oh yeah, that part was definitely awesome. Aside from that though, a very well crafted film. I hope the Burrils' deliver more films like this, or with similar throwback tones.
