Jade Budowski Decider Good performances can't save the film's unfocused story and tonal inconsistencies. Jul 27, 2021 Full Review Jennifer Green Common Sense Media Billed as a "dramedy," this film sometimes struggles to balance its tone between comedy and drama, but while the humor lightens the mood, its more serious scenes and ideas give it life. Audience Member I really enjoyed it. It has a deliciously sly way of showing how crazy our culture is. I wish the English subtitles matched the actor's dubbed words. It's like the actors completely ignored the actual script. Not just ignore, they seemed to make a point of ALWAYS saying something completely differently from what was written. It was weird and annoying. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 01/27/23 Full Review Audience Member My wife and I enjoyed the movie a great deal. We've got three children between the ages of 14 and 20, and the various issues raised are all things we've dealt with to varying degrees. Solid performances, and good script. But I'm not a theater critic, just a dad. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 02/05/23 Full Review Audience Member Rien ne va bien dans cette famille. R-I-E-N. Trop caricatural pour qu'on s'y reconnaisse alors que c'était probablement le but recherché. Il y avait du potentiel, mais je n'ai vraiment pas aimé. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 01/20/23 Full Review Audience Member Review in english: Well, it is unfortunate because I gave it a try and it didn't work out really well for me. Perhaps, my parents heard about this movie a lot because apparently, everyone in Quebec seem to be blinded by the fact that it is from here and they absolutely love it. Everyone told them it was fantastic but I was skeptical. I like Ricardo Trogi but it seems like we always do dramatic comedies and, knowing it was that genre, I didn't want to see it. I still gave it a shot, just to see and I was still disappointed. It is like the clichés of the usual family are used constantly in our culture and it becomes boring. The message has passed and we get in there skin. It is so overused! In counterpart, the characterization of every members of a lot of family is good and you really understand how they did it. For that, I congratulate Ricardo. For the comedy side, it was nice. You got to give to César what he deserves. So yea, I liked the characters and the jokes but it was just bad to see the same thing as always. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 01/16/23 Full Review Audience Member Dialogue, histoire et photographie à retravailler, mais Louis Morissette est beau. ¿O no?
