How is this receiving a high rating? After watching it, I am confused. The scenery is inspiring, the stories unfortunately are not. I have a hard time expending sympathy on someone who cheated on his wife numerous times only to have her take him back and he does it again. We all feel the temptation. God's forgiveness in these situations is profound and I am not judging a man's actions; however, I find it bizarre that anyone would find this film inspiring beyond its imagery of the North Atlantic. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 08/16/23 Full Review Audience Member Absolutely amazing. Put down your phone and keep your eyes on the visual story telling part of the movie. This film is truly life changing. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/13/23 Full Review Audience Member The cinematography and musical score is a riveting. It thought provoking spiritual journey takes us to places we may not wish to think about and offers contemplation for inner healing and life from a Christian perspective. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/28/23 Full Review Audience Member Powerful documentary interviews with the writer of The Shack and other spiritual leaders who were freed from sexual addiction. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 02/15/23 Full Review Audience Member really great, honest movie dealing with tough stuff. really three films in one Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/14/23 Full Review Audience Member Content warning: homophobia; sexual abuse survivors; suggestion that homosexuality could be a result of childhood molestation. This movie is beautifully done. I don't agree with their theology and suggested link and between homosexuality and molestation. I would warn anyone who is triggered by this suggestion to think twice before encountering this film. There was a message toward transforming ("healing") homosexuality, which I find could be very hurtful toward many people. However, I tried to remain open to hearing from other Christian perspective, even if I did not agree with all of their views. Other insights in the film were artfully communicated and powerfully visualized. Overall, I'm glad I watched this film. It showed a new way of communicated beautiful truths about God's love in Christ. Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 01/13/23 Full Review Read all reviews
