No one will ever confuse Lou Ferrigno with Daniel Day-Lewis, but he certainly has a presence. Go to Full Review

The Hermit legitimately surprises with an icky final act reveal (and deftly-used needle-drop) that elevates the material. Go to Full Review

Nicholas H @ROTLA 6d The Hermit is a solid indie horror that does more than you expect. It leans into a familiar setup, but the way it builds tension and atmosphere keeps you engaged throughout. Lou Ferrigno really carries the film! Strong presence, minimal dialogue, and it works. You feel him every time he’s on screen. What I liked most is that it doesn’t just play it safe. There’s a shift in the final act that adds something extra and makes it feel more thought-through than your typical low-budget horror. A well-executed indie horror with enough edge to stand out. Overall, it delivers! See more Diego F @Diegof1678 6d Bloody good time! The deputy and sheriff are such a funny duo too😂 See more Marta E. @RT20780517 6d Whatta fun movie! See more Michelle Musick J @RT39506171 Apr 12 If you’ve ever wondered what would happen if The Incredible Hulk retired to the woods, grew a gloriously ridiculous beard, and started turning unsuspecting campers into "Hermit Jerky," then director Salvatore Sclafani has made the movie of your dreams. The Hermit is a lean, mean, cannibal thriller that wears its Wrong Turn and Texas Chainsaw Massacre influences proudly on its blood-soaked flannel sleeve. When two self-absorbed teens (Malina Weissman and Anthony Turpel) get dragged on a family vacation into the deep woods, they quickly stumble onto the isolated farm of a reclusive pig farmer with a very particular set of skills—and an even more particular diet. That farmer? None other than bodybuilding legend Lou Ferrigno in his first true horror/creature role since his iconic Hulk days. and let me tell you: Ferrigno absolutely crushes it.He doesn’t just show up for the stunt-casting novel, he embodies the role.
