Stephen Holden New York Times In critical ways, the movie is a mess. The basketball scenes are so sloppy and haphazard that the would-be slapstick registers as confusion. But away from the court, the actors bring their caricatures to folksy comic life. Rated: 3/5 Jul 12, 2013 Full Review Farran Smith Nehme New York Post Lifetime movies have their pleasures, and so does this film. Rated: 2/4 Jul 11, 2013 Full Review Justin Chang Variety [A] strained and soapy empowerment comedy ... Jul 11, 2013 Full Review James Kendrick Q Network Film Desk unlikely to put Susan Seidelman back in the front ranks of Hollywood, even though it is an enjoyable, albeit highly derivative, comedy that dares to put "women of a certain age" front and center. Rated: 2.5/4 Sep 17, 2013 Full Review Mike Scott Times-Picayune It's heart is in the right place, but -- with poor writing, lame humor and dreadful on-court sequences -- that's one of the only things right about it. Rated: 1/5 Aug 15, 2013 Full Review James Plath Movie Metropolis By and large this is a film meant to do exactly what the film's charity event does: to provide light entertainment while raising money for a good cause. Audience Member It's a simple movie that's funny and a good waist of time. There's no big plot and it's ok to watch with the family. Based on production it's actually really well shot. The dialogue is a little off but again it's not a major motion picture. Enjoy it for what it is. A cheap comedy that'll have you laughing. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 02/22/23 Full Review Audience Member FAr fetched story of former basketball p;ayers playing a charity game against the current high school state champions...and winning. A few cute moments but oh soooo cliched. And it is really hard to watch Darryl HAnnah...whatever has that woman done to herself. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 02/07/23 Full Review Audience Member Sadly they're neither hot nor is there any flashing. Menopausal women's basketball movies just aren't what they used to be. Eric Roberts drinks Tito's in this movie though so there's that. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 01/29/23 Full Review Audience Member Not hilarious or so , but enough entertaintment for a few laughs . Good to see Brooke again ! Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 02/21/23 Full Review Audience Member This is very mainstream and very ordinary in story, themes and direction. There's nothing here to add spice to a very unidirectional plot. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 02/06/23 Full Review Audience Member funny.however no bridesmaids like the review I read. good watch ladies Rated 4 out of 5 stars 02/10/23 Full Review Read all reviews
