Joshua Katzman Chicago Reader While The Last Seduction isn’t anywhere near the complex and disturbing masterpiece that Chinatown is, it does contain more social commentary than has generally been ascribed to it. Arya S It's a fun noir romp worth the watch, but the annoyingly upbeat soundtrack makes this a noir-light rather than the darker mystery it could have been. Younger generation will have enjoy dissecting the dated tech aspects. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 09/28/24 Full Review Blu B A Neo-Noir Classic. Really well made all around. All of it's issues are marginal. Linda F. is amazing in this as the lead Femme Fatale and the best thing in this. Mike while acted well is just a idiot for trusting her despite all the constant nonstop red flags. Despite how beautiful she is you wonder how the heck does he like her after everything she does and how twisted she is. Sometimes the actions of characters are a bit comical and like the P.I. showing his manhood and the credit calling after hours scenes. While the acting is really good and the direction is strong, this is never really moody or atmospheric. The music also is really good but the jazz numbers feel a bit out of place and don't mix well with the more traditional noir tracks. This can get bogged down a bit in the middle with the P.I.'s tracking her down and feeling like stuff is just kind of happpening a bit but the direction, sharp dialouge, and performances carry it through. And again, Mike is aidiot for trusting her for SOOOO long and despite acknowledging the EXTREME warning signs he just goes along with it. That's the only thing that can take you out of an otherwise riveting expeirence. It's very dark, twisted, clever, and well done though. Anyone who is a fan of any actors in this, the director, noirs, or dark thrillers will like this. Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 08/17/24 Full Review Steve D It was all too unpleasant for me. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 09/14/23 Full Review pierce k The movie was incredible and i loved the acting. But the one problem about this film is the theme song they play in my opinion i don't think that's a good theme song for erotic thriller. Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 04/07/23 Full Review S M Raisul I The definition of a Femme Fatale and boy she's fun. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/15/23 Full Review michael d A top erotic 90s contender.
