Loneliness can be a painful memory that prevails beyond death. This slow burn horror movie succeeds in passing the message to its audience. But the director seems obsessed in exploring the creepy set over and over, leaving no space to expand the narrative. Repetitive and painfully slow.

He inherits his mom's house that is decorated like an escape room vomited. As strange things start to happen (after about an hour of painful slow nothingness), he uncovers what really happened to mom. So. Slow.

I'm surprised at the tepid reception this movie got on Rotten Tomatoes and IMDB. I watched this on a whim and found myself engrossed in a meticulously paced, and uniquely haunting horror. It has great acting, some genuinely satisfying scares - I understand that the ending may be polarizing, but I felt the ambiguity it casts was more than earned due to the protagonist's psychological state and his childhood trauma. I thought this was an absolute gem, and I'm happy that I stumbled upon it.

Beautifully shot, the set alone was worth watching to the end. The plot is minimalistic which is fine but it goes no where, slowly. Unfortunately there is no real ending and is rather lacklustre, I was disappointedly underwhelmed.

It is a creepy movie, the star of the film is the house with its dark atmosphere. This movie deserves more credit than it gets on the horror genre. It is slow at times but it was effective at creeping me out. The ending could have been better but overall this is a good horror movie, worth watching!
