Justin T This film is terrible and unwatchable. Let me explain. Everything about it is very amateur and devoid of quality. The film opens with excessively long exposition where actor headshots are used instead of mugshots and a shootout that uses flashes of white instead of muzzle flashes. You quickly realise this is a dire film that very little effort has gone into. The issues only get worse with incomprehensible character decisions, poor quality dialogue recording and ugly cinematography and really basic editing where they just cut to the person talking and the rare reaction shot they use doesn’t actually have a character reaction. This really is absolutely atrocious. It’s badly written, incredibly slow pacing, countless plot holes and convenience. There are no special effects. There is no effort to make a good film. Even watching the whole thing in 40 minutes by speeding it up and a handful of 10 second skips I still found this slow and unwatchable. I would say that it is totally devoid of merit except that some of the ‘banter’ between the teenagers before they are killed off is so bad it's comical, it’s not just the dialogue it’s the bad acting and production quality that made me laugh-out-loud. It is a simple story line: taking the law into your own hands equals your victim coming back from the dead for revenge. It isn't a legend at all. It is corny, not scary at all, and I laughed at it. It is like a candyfloss horror movie. A bit fast too, actually. Oh, and the deaths are very unoriginal. For a 2018 movie, it reminds me of an 80''s film. Because... Otherwise this stupid plot wouldn't happen. Problem one, a legend is a story told and retold over years or centuries. The story of this murder never came out and it was only a year later, not long enough for even gossip to turn in to a legend. Hell, at least Mr. Jack from "Jack-O" had enough time pass to become a legend. Plus Halloween has nothing to do with Jack or the story other it being Halloween night. The pacing and effects and the cast are all awful. Plus a budget of $300,000 didn't help. It's weird IMDb has the budget in American dollars when it's a British movie. Was the script so horrible they had to resort to an American company to BARELY fund it? I think just tossing the script into a bonfire would have been preferred.
