It's basically torture porn, but the film tries to have a story to certified itself as a movie. There's no character in here to root or attach yourself to. Everyone is either unlikable or one note. It doesn't help that the dialogue isn't well written. Do people seriously consider this horror?

While's there's quite a bit of knowledge you'll gain about the history of English literature, this flick doesn't really work as an effective horror-thriller. However, this is one of the goriest English films I've seen in recent memory.

Excellently acted by the actor playing the teacher. Pretty brutal in some scenes. Although it very slow & becomes rather tedious in parts. [5/10]
