Anna C Entertaining and gripping and horrible at same time. Horror movie with enough sadistic actions to keep you gripped. Definitely worth a watch. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 09/10/23 Full Review Audience Member Uncomfortable. Incongruous. Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 02/14/23 Full Review matthew b It's basically torture porn, but the film tries to have a story to certified itself as a movie. There's no character in here to root or attach yourself to. Everyone is either unlikable or one note. It doesn't help that the dialogue isn't well written. Do people seriously consider this horror? Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 03/30/23 Full Review Audience Member Even Jane Eyre would be empathetic...... Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/24/23 Full Review Audience Member While's there's quite a bit of knowledge you'll gain about the history of English literature, this flick doesn't really work as an effective horror-thriller. However, this is one of the goriest English films I've seen in recent memory. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 01/14/23 Full Review Audience Member Excellently acted by the actor playing the teacher. Pretty brutal in some scenes. Although it very slow & becomes rather tedious in parts. [5/10] Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 01/11/23 Full Review Read all reviews Post a rating

Tara Brady Irish Times Debt-related stress has seldom seemed so darned entertaining. Rated: 5/5 Mar 2, 2016 Full Review Frank Scheck Hollywood Reporter Featuring an exciting climax in which Mia, who has gone looking for the missing Fin, plays a vitally important role, the film marks an impressive debut for its writer/director [Ruth Platt]. Mar 1, 2016 Full Review Anton Bitel Sight & Sound Somewhere in this stinging dialectic we viewers too are confronted and tested to the limits on the value of literature and learning in a deprived, often depraved society. Mar 1, 2016 Full Review Joanne Laurier World Socialist Web Site The film is an earnest, but artistically and socially limited effort. Aug 13, 2020 Full Review Matthew Anderson CineVue This Bulgarian offering is a maturely crafted, finely tuned and quietly profound drama that's not to be missed. Rated: 4/5 Apr 8, 2019 Full Review Bernard Boo Way Too Indie As fascinating as it is to have all of these interesting concepts and philosophies explored so thoroughly in a genre movie, it can sometimes feel like sensory overload when we're also meant to stomach watching teenagers get impaled over and over.
