Kyle Smith Wall Street Journal Mr. Kamiyama has sent into battle nothing but armies of clichés. Dec 13, 2024 Full Review Nell Minow Movie Mom This movie never convinces us that there is a reason to make it, and that means there is only reason to watch it for those who will perk up at the mention of familiar places and characters. Rated: B- Dec 13, 2024 Full Review Donald Clarke Irish Times There is nothing here to win over those habitually ill disposed to sword and sorcery, but anybody half on board should have a decent time. It is certainly a heck of a lot better than the over-extended Hobbit trilogy. Rated: 3/5 Dec 12, 2024 Full Review Joonatan Itkonen Toisto.net War of the Rohirrim is a prequel to the Peter Lord of the Rings trilogy, and it doesn't let the audience forget that. Which is a problem, because compared to the classic films from 20-plus years ago, War of the Rohirrim simply can't keep up. Rated: 2/5 Dec 13, 2024 Full Review Tanner Gordon Spectrum Culture It’s a faithful effort to meager ends, exhausting in runtime and paling in comparison both to its justly acclaimed live-action predecessors and the multitudes of quality fantasy anime already available. Dec 13, 2024 Full Review Belen Edwards Mashable However, it's the ways in which The War of the Rohirrim stands out from Jackson's films... that allows The War of the Rohirrim to truly carve out its own space in onscreen portrayals of Middle-earth. Nadia A fun and moving romp through Middle Earth with an animal flair. Gripping and exhilarating Rated 5 out of 5 stars 12/13/24 Full Review JJ The animation was awesome, story was great! More please!! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 12/13/24 Full Review J Gray massive LOTR and massive Kenji Kamiyama anime fan... I did enjoy the movie but for me it wasn't quite enough of either. It didn't let itself be a Kenji Kamiyama piece enough and couldn't be LOTR enough. still good but not going to be particularly outstanding or memorable. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 12/13/24 Full Review Mitchell J This movie had quite a bit of potential that gets dropped in the last 3 act of the movie. Although I liked the visuals, fights and especially the oliphant scene near the beginning of the movie, the plot got lost in the sauce after Helm gets really cold. Also Wulf is way too dumb. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 12/13/24 Full Review Jon13508 This was an interesting concept that was visually very appealing with an art style I wouldnt have expected to see an adaption of LotR done in but was pleasantly surprised. Not on cannon but still very enjoyable for what it is. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 12/13/24 Full Review KNeko While the action, animation and score doing it's best to support the story. The story isn't worth much. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 12/13/24 Full Review Read all reviews
