As far as heady sci-fi projects go, this might be the least traditional of them all. Go to Full Review

Bernie S @B_Movie_Man 12h This movie starts off intriguing and jumps a shark about 1/2-way through. The lead claims to be 14000 years old and starts telling tales if his early life and his awareness. His four "men of science" collogues both listen and criticize him pointing out that he is simple retelling every cliche about early man found in any natural history book. Then he says he is Jesus and repeats every non-believer cliche about Jesus (he faked his death, with a trance instead of drugs), he was misunderstood, he learned everything from Buddhists (instead of Egyptians), blah blah blah, and all of a sudden the "four men of science" start to believe everything he says. Possibly the dumbest part is where he claims Jesus was preaching to the Romans trying to reform their society instead of preaching to the Jews. Great movie for simple minds trying to pretend they are deep by embracing every cliche out there. You should probably be high while watching, because otherwise it is just cringe. See more Rex K @Rex_Klone 23h Watching all over again in 2026 and still is one of the best iteration of a fascinating discussion between scholars and learned men and women. Though 12 angry men could be considered subpar to this one, the storytelling alone is a combination of fantasy embroided with real world truths See more Hrachia S @MasterH26 4d A rare film that proves a movie can be driven almost entirely by conversation and still be deeply engaging. Strips spectacle and lets ideas do the heavy lifting. John doesn’t just tell his story. He invites scrutiny. Each character brings their own beliefs, doubts, and experiences into the discussion, the film allows perspectives to clash without forcing neat conclusions. The pauses are just as important as the dialogue. John steps away, the group debates among themselves, revealing more about who they are than about him. The single cabin setting keeps everything focused and intimate, trapping both the characters and the audience with the questions being raised. Emotional responses, especially from those shaped by loss, feel grounded and human. Belief is shown as personal rather than abstract. With its mix of ages and viewpoints, the film trusts us to sit with uncertainty. It's a quiet movie with big ideas, and a reminder that sometimes conversation alone is enough to move the mind. See more Lynn S @Pplusent Dec 25 All talking, but once it develops it really puts a question out there. A view I never really thought of. Recommend a watch! See more Mads G Nov 9 Unique and mysterious! amazing movie - Pure talking just sooo good See more Al B Oct 13 Why did he have to have witnessed and done everything?, Its ridiculous, he knew Christopher Columbus and Picaso and he actually is Jesus??? I guess if you figure you might live forever maybe you would go try to meet the most interesting people around or go be apart of every exciting new thing thats happening? otherwise this movie is dumb See more Read all reviews
