Yes, I'm just now, at the end of 2025, reviewing a 17 year old movie because for years, I've gone back and forth on whether or not to invest any time into something that sounds like it will be dumb. Finally, after noticing a RT critic's score of 70%, I thought maybe it'll be FUN-dumb. Maybe all these years I was just missing the point. Nope! Stupid and FILLED with plot holes (even if the concept is fantastical, it still needs to make sense), it was frustrating to watch, even more so as I realized it was getting toward the end and there was no way it was going to redeem itself and I'd just wasted so much time on this load of crap. And it wasn't crap due to the gore or the source material. It was crap because it was poorly written (the characters' actions seldom made sense) and poorly directed (particularly the action scenes). Again, such a pointless time-suck. Boo! See more Aryan G Dec 2 The movie has something and that is in the characters and the suspense. From the beginning to end it shook me apart and the scenes are raw and Leon's story i could feel while watching. The camera, direction, everything is top. A good movie, could be one time or I will second watch after a long time, but the ending didn't clarify the suspense or the story main plot. 7.8/10 overall. Watch it. Unfortunately, the final third of the film definitely holds it back for me. There's some lazy writing here and the ending will be a hit-or-miss for most viewers.
