Betsy Sharkey Los Angeles Times "The Moment" is a psychological thriller more muddled than the mind and the maze it is caught up in. Jun 19, 2014 Full Review Ben Kenigsberg New York Times Watching the movie becomes a kind of parlor game: Is Lee capable of murder? Which moment is the moment? Jun 5, 2014 Full Review David Ehrlich The Dissolve A risible film but not an evil one, The Moment is made all the more painful by its seemingly earnest intentions. Rated: 0/5 Jun 5, 2014 Full Review Nicholas Bell IONCINEMA.com Jennifer Jason Leigh stars in a committed performance, though she can't quite overcome the tedious fluctuations that drive us away rather than rope us in. Rated: 2/5 Aug 30, 2019 Full Review Lauren Wilford Movie Mezzanine After you sit with [The Moment] for a while, you realize that it just doesn't get crazy right. Steve D Convoluted but Leigh keeps it engaging. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 02/06/24 Full Review StephenPaul C The greatest 01 hour: and 32 minutes ever!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Based on a true story? F**k no!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Holy sh*t!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 07/11/23 Full Review Audience Member Leigh was good. She's a photojournalist that is tripping out in a psych ward trying to remember if she killed her boyfriend or not. But this movie has serious construction issues. Flashbacks that confuse and an ending that doesn't provide any answers. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 01/12/23 Full Review Audience Member I thought it better than most apparently; however, it still wasnt great. Were some interesting things in there that kept us til the end but still glad I got it on Netflix vs paying for it at a theater. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 02/26/23 Full Review Audience Member let's see written & directed by women about a woman I classify this one as a chick flick but I liked it good drama gr8 cast. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 01/21/23 Full Review Audience Member The only reason I'm alright with giving this half of a star is because of Leigh's performance.
