I don't think the writers knew that they could start writing it BEFORE Steamboat Willie came into the public domain. It's like they made it in a frantic rush because they happened to hear that they could use Mickey. The movie tries too hard to both be a parody movie and a serious slasher, and because of that, it fails at both.

Ever heard "It's so bad it's good?" Well not in this movie. I hate this movie, literally doesn't server any purpose then 'HOLY GOSH, MICKY MOUSE HAS ENTER THE PUBLIC DOMAIN, WE NEED TO MAKE MONEY." If THIS, this lump of stale, no art clay wasn't for free on Tubi, I'd never watch it.
