Most of their information would never hold up in any court. Terrible just terrible See more Julia S @Julia_S Dec 12 The Mystery of Marilyn Monroe: The Unheard Tapes shows a much deeper and more personal look at Marilyn than the public image we usually see. I went in knowing her fame and her connection to the Kennedys, but I didn’t realize how much her difficult childhood and years in foster care shaped her relationships and struggles with mental health. The documentary also highlights the darker side of old Hollywood, where actresses were openly exploited and Marilyn was treated more as an object than an artist, despite her desire to be taken seriously. All in all, this film provides meaningful insight into the pressures and vulnerabilities that defined her life and career and I think it’s important to watch. See more Haley C @Haley358 Dec 7 Through this great documentary it reveals the story of Marilyn Monroe and her career leading to different perspectives on what happened the night of her death. It goes into depth through tapes of people speaking upon her story of drug use and depression after her involvement with the affairs she had with the Kennedy brothers. The night of her death was claimed as a suicide but the involvement with Bobby Kennedy clearing her house and having it wired, whether or not she even left her room to go to the hospital, and who she exactly saw that night was unclear. I did very much enjoy the documentary and the different viewpoints put out about the night of her death. I felt that the documentary was necessary to people who haven’t seen the book by Anthony Summers’ "Goddess," it was based off of, but I felt the film was a little drawn out in pacing that should’ve been focused on that night.
