Thelma Adams AARP Movies for Grownups Mayes sings better than he acts; he’s no foil for that charmer Bridges, who makes every scene feel as comfortable as an old slipper and earns every tear that comes his way. Rated: 4/5 Mar 22, 2024 Full Review M.N. Miller InSession Film The Neon Highway cannot help itself from tripping into country cliches more than most. Rated: C- Jul 15, 2024 Full Review Marie Asner Phantom Tollbooth What I liked about the film, is that it takes its time to put things together. Some scenes are shorter, while others longer, but altogether it fits. Anderson Common Sense Media As freewheeling and laid-back as an old country song, this music biz drama never has much at stake—and these good ol' boys don't show much emotion—but it still manages to touch the heart. tim i liked the story line and that it did not have any of the violence, profane language, and animated scenes. The actors were real people and folks I could identify with. I thought a movie where the story was what could actually happen in real life. The actors had to actually act. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 03/16/24 Full Review Donald P Nice to see a human narrative with no super heroes and blood and guts... Just a wonderfully acted story with some great music. Nice to see it in a theater as well. Well done. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 03/16/24 Full Review Jill A Excellent unique story showing conflicted emotions re: trying to do right by others. No constant stream of unimaginative vulgarities, naked women, violence, just a good story with good actors & writers. Recommend! Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 09/28/24 Full Review Sam C That was a tough watch. Brutal, I was expecting a solid b movie. I’d rather watch ginger dead vs the evil bong. Nothing but all the most ridiculous cliches. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 08/04/24 Full Review Efrem M It was alright. Somewhat inspiring story. Good a mellow weekday evening. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 08/03/24 Full Review Sharon b No cliche goes unused in this tedious story. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 07/19/24 Full Review Read all reviews
