It uses a thin plot touching on the classic Hong Kong action themes of brotherhood and loyalty as an excuse to string together a series of gonzo action set-pieces so ingeniously bloody that one could conceivably classify the film as horror.

I still come back and watch this film from time to time. I love the fight choreography. Even after watching it a few I still cringe on a few moments when I see blades go in places they shouldn't. This is right up there with The Raid films for me.
