Mark Kermode Kermode & Mayo's Film Review Very well done. It has a very sinister, impressive atmosphere with these little flashes of surreal horror... Oct 20, 2020 Full Review Tara Brady Irish Times The atmosphere of frontier decay and misogynistic oppression is sufficiently well maintained to sustain attention throughout Rated: 4/5 Oct 19, 2020 Full Review Danny Leigh Financial Times Take the film as a pared-back cousin to The Handmaid's Tale. But if some elements seem familiar, Szumowska has aces of her own to play. Rated: 4/5 Oct 15, 2020 Full Review Keith Garlington Keith & the Movies “The Other Lamb” certainly isn’t subtle with its message. You can’t mistake it for anything other than a metaphor for abusive relationships and their punishing effects. But while it might be obvious, that doesn’t mean it’s ineffective. Rated: 3.5/5 Aug 24, 2022 Full Review Dan Bayer Next Best Picture Casts a wicked spell, one that will leave you beguiled and a little baffled by the end, in the best way possible. Rated: 8/10 May 13, 2022 Full Review Brian Eggert Deep Focus Review The Other Lamb features plenty of striking visuals and several convincing performances. Still, its stylistic approach keeps the viewer at an emotional remove, leaving us to admire the result with cold appreciation. Rated: 2.5/4 Feb 20, 2022 Full Review Read all reviews

Ari V Pretty scenery and everything, but the endless staring and bleeding gets daunting at about the 40 minute mark, only to finally be capped off by the ever fashionably grandstanding resolution. Safe, sheepish choices disguised as brave revolutionism. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 10/30/23 Full Review Emilliano Jr S Slow burn with A24 horror vibes. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 09/08/23 Full Review Lagrange P Atmospheric, with tremendous visuals and a decidedly sinister overtone. Some good performances from the primary cast members, with Selah and the Shepherd particularly worthy of note. There's no doubting its message, which is delivered with all the subtlety of an 18 wheeler crashing into a gorge, but that's not necessarily a bad thing. There is too little character development to be completely successful, and its abrupt ending will leave some viewers unsatisfied, as will several tangential plot points that are meant to be profound, but instead simply wander away without resolution or meaning. Nonetheless, there's a lot here for genre fans. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 06/28/23 Full Review Jelisije J A movie that could have been so much better if the pacing wasn't so awful. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 06/21/23 Full Review matthew r This is probably a good film, but all the symbolism is lost on me. Beautiful country where this was shot, I'll give it that. And the acting was top notch. Plot, meh, idk, it was ok. Raffey Cassidy plays the protagonist and is on a bit of a roll with this her 4th movie in a row with good reviews (Allied, The Killing of a Scared Deer, Vox Lux). Michiel Huisman plays the creepy Shepherd and does a fine job being creepy. The supporting cast was not anything to write home about but didn't ruin the movie either. I can't really recommend to the masses but if you are a movie buff it's worth the watch. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 03/31/23 Full Review farouk b This is an example of a great story with a lot of potential to fly high but never took off and ended up landing disastrously.
