Audience Member Fun, family friendly, and delivers a great message/lesson. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 01/18/23 Full Review Audience Member The best movie I have ever seen. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/16/23 Full Review Audience Member LOL I remember tuning in on the Disney Channel back then when they actually played some awesome movies. Just to catch reruns of this movie... The Paper Brigde was an awesome movie. Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 01/23/23 Full Review Audience Member Love this damn movie, 90's TV FTW! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/27/23 Full Review Audience Member A hard one to review, because there are two versions of it. The original version is 90 minutes, and would rate at least an 85%. It is hilarious, witty, harmless, whacko family fun in the traditional pre-"what the heck happened to disney??" style. Like "Sandlot" only funnier and more cohesive. Unfortunately, this version seems to have ceased to exist in re-run, on disk, and on the internet. It's been replaced with a readily-available,75-minute, time-compressed, heavily and unnecessarily edited, but still marginally watchable version often called "Gunther and the Paper Brigade". It's in the category of "What the heck were they thinking??". Some of the funniest parts have been cut out; including some parts necessary to hold the plot together. It's reminiscent of "sanitized" Bugs Bunny where one is left scratching their head at what is going on. It can only be rated a 60% on it's own merit. Probably more a 35% when one has "known the truth" of the original version. They've poached and butchered it . . . and for no good or apparent reason. It's like returning to a beloved forest of one's youth . . . only to find a strip-mall or low-budget cookie-cutter townhomes. Shame on whomever allowed this to happen. Part of classic children's movie history has been defaced and lost. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 02/07/23 Full Review Audience Member Not hugely entertaining, although Robert Englund, of course, was brilliant.
