      Daniel G It's a murder classic that's had other adaptations, but I've neither read the book, nor watched previous visions. This one was languid and was more of a strange love-hate story than a crime thriller. Though only touched upon, the issue of runaway youngsters in Germany could have been more central to the story. It was a slow movie, but with impactful imagery and a strong, dedicated cast. However, the voice-over was a bit tiring - the main protagonist being all-knowing. Although, she wasn't much of a cop.
