Rated: 3/5 Nov 28, 2020 Full Review Adam Graham Detroit News If you can stomach it, "The Platform" is a funny and fierce farce with its eyes on race, class and the ways people can rise up for the betterment of all by working together. Rated: B+ Apr 4, 2020 Full Review Olly Richards Empire Magazine Gaztelu-Urrutia is making accusatory points about society, but he's not finger-wagging. The Platform delivers its moral message with the mechanics of a lean thriller. Chris O Pretty great and ridiculous allegorical movie. Don't think too hard about the plausibility. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 10/08/25 Full Review Ricardo M People are put into this place because of a crime they committed and some because they volunteered. With only scraps of food and sometimes no food people resort to their natural savage states which takes you on a rollercoaster ride into scenarios of the worst kind. An original, thrilling, unexpected, and Netflix original. With action, drama, survival of the fittest type of setting, humanity, and an open ending. It keeps you wondering until it's final conclusion. I like these type of movies. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 10/03/25 Full Review Audience Member The panna cotta! The panna cotta! alright bro shut the hell up we get it. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 09/07/25 Full Review Aluna U *The Platform* (2019) is a gripping psychological thriller that uses a vertical prison to symbolize wealth inequality and human selfishness. Goreng's moral journey and the film's layered symbolism drive a tense, thought-provoking narrative. With strong visuals and performances, it delivers a disturbing yet powerful social critique, despite some unanswered questions. This is one of my favorite thrillers of all time!! The storyline and the characters are fantastic. Five starts for me!! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 08/23/25 Full Review Abdullah J A shocking movie but with an intelligent and, in my view, honest message. The symbolism of the current social structure is accurate, and the shock you get from watching this movie is necessary because we have become desensitized to the shocking reality this is reflected in the film. If you watch it for a satisfying storyline as with any Marvel movie then you may not be fully satisfied. But if you understand that it's speaking with symbols then you'll love it.
