Brian Orndorf Blu-ray.com Obvious and determined shortcomings aside, the feature does a fine job itemizing the dilemmas of '76, developing into a beguiling snapshot of the way things once were. Rated: B- Nov 25, 2013 Full Review Read all reviews

Audience Member I don't know how Hulu recommended this to me during the Virus of 2020, but I watched it and if you are reading this review I give you credit I don't know how you ended up here watching a review of a 1976 B movie. It is so alien a world, the 1970s , and this movie is like a time capsule from this alien world and it held me. I have a tough time believing that this kind of world existed, maybe it is embellished for Hollywood entertainment. But when I saw the "antics" by these high school kids my mouth dropped open. These kids commit about ten aggravated felonies, in the first thirty minutes of the movie. And they are explained away as "those darn kids and their antics again!" School spirit is a rare thing these days, but it was big in the 70s, and some of the back and forth between rival high schools made me wonder how much was real and how much was more excessive Hollywood. The way the boys groped, mouthed and shoved girls would cause instant prison time today also, one girl was actually kidnapped. But, those boys and their antics again!!! I enjoyed it as a window into America gone by, 60 cent cheeseburgers served by a cute blonde in a mini skirt at a drive in, skipping school for the beach in a shag van, and cars that were old then that were affordable by teenagers are now collectibles. The football team actually prays before the game and the game ends in a brawl of the players, the cheerleaders and the fans. If you want some American pop history, give it a chance Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 02/18/23 Full Review Audience Member This was free with adds on vudu... I couldn't force myself past the first ad it was so horrible! Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 02/23/23 Full Review Audience Member The Pom Pom Girls is a nice little '70s time capsule, but not a particularly clever or interesting one. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 01/17/23 Full Review Audience Member There's no real plot to this film, just a series of college related antics that only really amuse than provide hearty comedy. Nevertheless it's not a bad movie. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 02/06/23 Full Review Audience Member If you want a movie with plenty of thoughtless nudity in it, this has it. If you want ANYTHING more than a snapshot of idealized high school life, with no characters or conflict, stay far away. Its frankly annoying how pointless the movie is. Watched it while also playing a game and didn't miss anything important. Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 02/21/23 Full Review Audience Member Cheesy, but entertaining.
