Audience Member The first half hour is lovely, and poetically expresses the early period after Collins' stroke as his and his wife's recollections play over visual metaphors/quasi-reconstructions set among the stunning scenery of the Scottish coastal town of Helmsdale. After that it gradually becomes a more conventional triumph over adversity tale but still a charming portrait of a mature and loyal love. At one notable moment Grace is literally Edwyn's right hand. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 02/19/23 Full Review Audience Member Lots of beautiful rural Scotland. Almost like a nice piece of work. Lots of reflections on his childhood wonder. Lots of reminicenses on his love, happiness and his sense of joy Rated 3 out of 5 stars 01/28/23 Full Review Audience Member Experimental in the first half of its film using voice over under emotive imagery and wild landscapes, before finally settling on the subject in a more conventional documentary style. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 02/06/23 Full Review Audience Member A meaningful discussion of mental issues is never a bad tale for a film but in the hands of an inexperienced film maker, it can become a bit of a mess. This appears to be exactly what happened here. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 02/07/23 Full Review Audience Member An interesting documentary about Edwyn Collins rehabilitation from a stroke. Nov 9, 2014 Full Review Wendy Ide Times (UK) Well-meaning, but better suited to an experimental short film than a feature. Rated: 2/5 Nov 7, 2014 Full Review David Jenkins Little White Lies A true original. Rated: 4/5 Nov 6, 2014 Full Review C.J. Prince Way Too Indie It's bold filmmaking, and with the help of amazing cinematography and music (the score was composed by Collins himself), The Possibilities are Endless demands to be seen in theatres. Jun 12, 2019 Full Review Danielle Davenport One Room With A View Hazy, hypnotic, immersive, emotive... The Possibilities Are Endless has much to recommend it. Rated: 3/5 May 31, 2019 Full Review Stephen Saito Moveable Fest Lovelace and Hall, however, bring out the magic in the most mundane of moments, attuned to how important all the little moments that Collins struggles to take back in his mind's possession are what life is all about.
