Audience Member I love Indie superhero films and this is one of the best in my opinion. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/30/23 Full Review Audience Member Don't expect a major studio movie. Don't dismiss a good fun movie. I wish it had become a TV series. It did have some pretty cheesy parts that it would have been better without. Over all it was a very enjoyable movie. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 01/19/23 Full Review Audience Member Hammy..a reviewer's trap of a movie. Made with top quality film making equipment of the highest quality, yet this film is let down by a very poor script. Was it deliberate? The fact this film is bad is not the actor's fault, who if they had a better script, may well shine and can fully envisage them going onto bigger and brighter things. That's the truth. And to continue... In the first 25 minutes, and yes i did see all(but i checked how far in i was at that point), we had a guy use a Britism('effing') who happened to be the school bully, and yet he was not wearing a school affiliated jersey which so often these 'jock bullies' do in these types of movies..no harm in that as a lot of the US gets to the UK mouths, with the likes of 'Oh Cr..' , meaning a lighthearted self swear, yet no jock jersey ..we had a girl decide to go to Mount Dominic, yes Mount Dominic with her boyfriend who was going climbing because he had a previous sports injury-moment honestly made you want to say 'awwww kissy kissy..' ,and yes think the movie makers were aware because that younger female actress later mentions last climbing location being a horseshoe canyon or similar. The guy with the glasses likes to be over the top like a public broadcast announcement-'guys it is said that the first few minutes is when you shouldn't....' Very very hammy and it's the script. Why is it a reviewer's trap? Well unless they change the effect, the initial fire from hands effect, well it's the best i have seen. (And after a change which occurred to the movie Wreck-it-Ralph, i know it can be changed.) Compare this to another character who does a poor 'I Dream of Jeannie' impression or appears constipated, depending how you look at the same thing, a few minutes after i saw the fire effect and the rest, well he is a good actor, if not the best in the movie. Another scene, an Oklahoma pd car drives up and announces to his dispatch at one point 'There's no-one on the roof. They must be drunk again.' Yes we all know what he meant but hearing it out of his mouth, in a flowing 2 sentence, its just a bad script. The guys who go rockclimbing have a brewskie mid way up, and the film comment baits the audience with a comment about what they should do next. There's a nurse who trust me, you would not want as a mother, the nurse as in the character I mean(obviously not the actress herself), it's just hammy. They use a quality comic book to real effect but it's the wrong movie for it- it's like they said superhero type movie, so we need this, this and this without further forethought, ie they put the wry 60s batmanesque comments 'what will our heros do next type thing' beside the effect but for it to work it requires the watcher to have a prior knowledge or empathy or experience of the subject matter involved-we don't, it's a MOVIE so it doesn't work. The henchman actually does wear black gloves. There's a scene where they are singing in the car and you are thinking err, how old are they and it was like they were cub scouts or venture scouts-but then it's well he is driving which they reinforce with around the time of the 2 guys with the brewskies, the 2 girls are alone with one of them driving a big 4x4..bad script sorry, but was it deliberate? It's not atrocious- the actors/actresses are not ugly(read quite attractive) and actually can act. (If everybody worked with those cameras and those effects, the full extent of movies being produced in the world would be a whole lot better- is there a denial of service going on or something- i am sorry but it is not a brain power thing here....blockbusters,, about time movies and tv were put alongside corn and wheat and not thought separate by the governments of the world and not there jurastiction-why...well what happened to blockbusters, where do you go locally for your rental dvds now??) Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 02/19/23 Full Review Audience Member Has A Disney channel movie feel.Intresting Token black guy .... Yeah I said it! Special effect/props kinda cheesy.Story not bad!Yet the acting could be better. This movie has heart!take peak when your bored. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 02/16/23 Full Review Audience Member A moment or two was cool but looking rather cheap overall. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 02/04/23 Full Review Audience Member This film reminded me of why I love film. From page to screen it was an amazing journey. It resulted in a lot of great talent in a great film. Go see this award winning film of awesomeness. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/19/23 Full Review Read all reviews
