This much-anticipated sequel saw Luke Mably return as King Edward, while Kam Heskin stepped into the considerable shoes of Paige Morgan, taking over from Julia Stiles. The film famously failed to win over critics or audiences. Widely panned as "an epic but inept romance" and even "the worst story ever written" by Rotten Tomatoes, it earned abysmal ratings across the board, solidifying its status as one of the Americaverse's most regrettable cinematic outings, a true nightmare for fans of the original.
