Matthew Lickona San Diego Reader Watching here feels akin to peeking at a private love letter from an artist to his art, an experience that will fascinate some and off-put many. Rated: 1/5 Oct 6, 2017 Full Review Brad Wheeler Globe and Mail It's fun, involving off-set sexual escapades and a scheme to rescue a back-from-the-dead film director from a work camp. Rated: 3/4 Aug 25, 2017 Full Review Nick Allen RogerEbert.com The Queen of Spain can only offer scant entertainment for movie buffs and non-movie buffs alike. Rated: 1.5/4 Aug 18, 2017 Full Review Richard Crouse Richard Crouse Between the screwball comedy, historical perspective, lacklustre musical number in the film-within-the-film and story of intrigue, what should have been a breezy farce is a bit of a slog. Rated: 2/5 Feb 28, 2021 Full Review Christopher Preston One Room With A View The Queen of Spain...has to pose this question to start its engine: is this needed? Unfortunately, the answer is a resolute "no". Rated: 2/5 Mar 7, 2019 Full Review Avi Offer NYC Movie Guru A well-acted, but overlong, clunky, and underwhelming satire. crustina d This movie is as bad as what the audience and critics on this platform have rated it -- which is an anomaly in its self. It's a muddled attempt some sort of mockumentary, missing the tone and cadence entirely. That said, Penelope Cruz is a goddess and perhaps the most talented actor of her generation, and can do no wrong, and is not to blame for any of the malfunctions of this film, which is about 95% bad. Save your time. Save your strength. Save your money. I love you Penelope! Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 03/30/23 Full Review Audience Member Good lord I loved this movie, full of charm, humor, wonderful acting and writing. Quirky characters and hilarious scenes. I wasn't expecting much, but was pleasently surprised. I was also surprised by the bad reviews. Must have been a bad bach of humorless dolts that just happened by. Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 02/03/23 Full Review Audience Member I ignored the bad reviews and discovered this to be a great movie Ok this is not close to be a masterpiece or a disruptive movie, but it is not bad at all. The thing is that everyone values it as a mediocre bad sequel, i walked in to this movie without knowing it had a prequel and i spent a great time watching a crazy plot with funny unique characters in very clever situations for humor. Cool down sometimes a bad sequel can still be a great entretaining movie Rated 4 out of 5 stars 01/29/23 Full Review Read all reviews
