Audience Member Too bad that George O'Brien is largely forgotten among front row kids. He may not have the charisma nor singing voice of a Rogers or LaRue, but his burly physique is perfect for action roles. Here it's really Holt who has the eye-catching charisma. No wonder he was soon featured in his own series. Of course, the chief attraction is Rita Hayworth before her career took off. She's certainly a striking presence, but for curiosity seekers like myself, it's hard to tell with that hat on whether this was before or after her hairline was raised. It certainly made a difference in appearance. Check out Charlie Chan in Egypt (1935) for a revealing glimpse. Loved it yes I highly recommend it. James Welch Henderson Arkansas 12/11/2022 Rated 4/5 Stars •  Rated 4 out of 5 stars 12/12/22 Full Review Audience Member Certainly not a classic westerns, but there's some solid star power with Rita Hayworth and Tim Holt, though this film is actually a George O'Brien vehicle. Hayworth and Holt were not huge stars when this came out. Rita was actually still being billed at Rita Cansino the year before this came out. But to this film in particular, O'Brien is a Texas Ranger order to bring in Hayworth, who's the leader of a gang fighting corrupt government officials who stole her land. The story and direction are about the same quality as Holt's many B-western pictures he'd make in subsequent years, but Hayworth brings some real star quality to an otherwise forgettable B-western.
